Scott Andrews (Past Speaker)

Mr. Andrews has been a key technical contributor to the connected vehicle vision and the telematics industry since its inception in the early 1990’s. He has more than 40 years’ experience developing and managing high technology projects. For the last 23 years he has focused exclusively on the development and management of technologies in support of Intelligent Transportation Systems and mobile information systems. He led a number of Toyota’s ITS programs between 1996 and 2003, and has provided systems engineering consulting services in advanced vehicle technology and connected vehicle systems since that time. 

Mr. Andrews served as System Architect for the VII Consortium on the FHWA VII Proof of Concept program, one of the first large scale connected vehicle test projects. Mr. Andrews recently also served as the technical lead for the development of DSRC performance requirements for the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, and is currently engaged with NHTSA  in the development of a deployment strategy and governance architecture for the connected vehicle Security Credential Management System.
